With 6-12 hours of lessons (3-4 days), most students achieve their first waterstart. For independent riding, we recommend at least 20 hours of practice.

Like any extreme sport, it has risks. But with professional instruction and respect for weather conditions, it's a safe sport. Our IKO-certified instructors prioritize your safety.

What equipment do I need?

For lessons, we provide everything: kite, board, harness, helmet and life vest. You just need sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap, and comfortable clothing.

The main season runs from December to April, with consistent 15-25 knot winds. However, there are also good conditions from June to August.

A dream born from the wind and friendship

Alberto Junior — known as 'El Mono' — is the son of fishermen from Santa Verónica. Although he dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, kitesurfing stole his heart. He discovered the sport while working in construction, when his boss asked him to help assemble kites. He was fascinated and became a local legend at Salinas del Rey. Together with his childhood friend, they built Veronikites: a project that not only gave them freedom, but allowed them to support their families and prove that dreams do come true, under the spectacular sunsets of Salinas where the sky explodes in oranges, purples, and deep blues.
