Ride the Caribbean Soul

Veronikite was born from the dream of David Alba, who grew up in Santa Verónica with the sea as his lifelong companion. Although he initially dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, kitesurfing stole his heart. After trying a conventional path working in an office, David realized he was only happy when the weekends came and he could return to the sea. He made the decision to start from scratch, in Salinas del Rey — a privileged Caribbean Colombian spot with winds up to 30 knots, 2-3 meter waves, and over 80 kilometers of coastline with bays, flat water, and perfect routes for riding.

Along that journey, his childhood friend Alberto Junior — known as 'El Mono' — was a fundamental piece. Son of fishermen from Santa Verónica, El Mono discovered kitesurfing while working in construction, when his boss asked him to help assemble kites. He was fascinated and became a local legend at Salinas del Rey. Together, David and El Mono built Veronikite: a project that not only gave them freedom, but allowed them to support their families and prove that dreams do come true, under the spectacular sunsets of Salinas where the sky explodes in oranges, purples, and deep blues.

The wind gave us the freedom to live doing what we love, forever connected to the sea.
